I talk about keeping for Ranchuu.There are several factor for keeping.
Main factor are container,feeding,water,sun shine.
CONTAINER
Container is pond is the best for competition.Ofcouse grass case is O.K. for pleasure.
Pond had better to be large & shallow.Ideal pond size is TSUBOIKE(180cmx180cm)
For keeping TOZAIGYO(1year old fish),you may keep less smaller.
Pond depth had better to be 20cm for TOZAIGYO(1year old fish).And you fill up to till 15cm.
For OYAUO(parent fish) ,depth 30cm,fill up 25cm is better.
Ideal pond is to be made of cocrete.Because it can shut down difference of water temprature.
So you can choice other material for less the difference of temperature.
Almost cace, pond had better be coverd by green sphagnum.Brown colors is bad,because the
brown sphagnum makes water to change brown.
FEEDING
The case1; you have the pond 120cmx180cmx30(h)cm & keep 8 fishes as the size adding tail to hen egg.
You may feed 3`5 times/day in Singapore.Quantity is 2.5 scoop of tea spoon par 1 time.
* As the food we offer.
Then you know how to feed,you try to change feeding step by step.
Though you want to grow up quickly,don't feed too much.It makes bad water condition &
not match for competition style.
Actually MIJINKO(plankton) is the best for KURROKO(Black Clor 1year old fish) as food.
But you hard to find MIJINKO.The food we offer is very good.You may use it better.
WATER
At the case1;You may change the water every week,as Singapore is hot weather,so water goes
to bad easily.The water service water must be keeped 2`3days before chainging water.
Because the water service water contained chlorine for disinfction.If your country water
doesn't contain chlorine,keeping day is 1day for adjust temperature to pond water.
Keeping water is green color is good.Fish color changes to deep & makes gross.
Too much green is not good.It desoluves fins.The best green color is that when fish is
bottom of pond,you can see its outline.
SUN SHINE
Sun shine is important especialy fish color too,as it will make water to change to green.
But you must mind water temperature.It had better not over 30.If you keep out side & over
30,You must sunshade.
Sun shade must be set upper 30cm from pond surface.For keeping needs well ventilated.
If you set sun shade on water surface,fishes will be coverd mold.
